Armed Forces and Business Expo

It was a pleasure to address today’s expo - ‘From Service to Success - How the Armed Forces community can strengthen your workforce’ - alongside the Lord Lieutenant of West Yorkshire and the Home Secretary Yvette Cooper MP.

Huge thanks to the Council’s Armed Forces Champion, Cllr Josie Pritchard and her team for organising this important event.

Our armed forces community and veterans have a huge contribution to make to our workforce. I’m glad that Wakefield Council and our government recognises this.
