Since the beginning of my by-election campaign I have pledged to protect the walk-in health clinic on King Street.
The clinic is open every day of the year from 10am to 10pm and led by a team of nurses who deal with minor wounds and illnesses.
The walk-in centre has been under review since 2022 with fears of closure, however, thanks to our campaign and the thousands of people who signed the online petition, the clinic will remain open and be relocated within the city centre, maintaining accessible transport links and parking for patients, an important factor for our local community.
There will be a public meeting at St Swithun’s Community Centre in Eastmoor on Tuesday, May 23 to discuss the relocation of the walk-in centre.
