June 12th-18th is Cystic Fibrosis week.
I am joining the CF Trust this week to raise awareness of this deadly disease.
Cystic Fibrosis is a life threatening genetic disease which affects the lungs and digestive system, causing chronic infections and inflammation. Approximately 10,800 people in the UK have Cystic Fibrosis and unfortunately the median life expectancy for those affected is only 38.
Up to date the CF Trust has invested over £30 million into gene therapy research and helps support those struggling with the condition.
