In 1970 to commemorate the one year anniversary of the Stonewall Inn Riots, there was a peaceful march to promote the freedom of expression and sexuality without judgment. Their slogan was “Pride”.
The month of June is Pride Month and it is important to recognise and celebrate the progress that has been made in the fight for the LGBT+ community's rights.
Together, we are on our way to creating a fairer, more equal society however, there is still more work to be done.
Labour stands with the LGBT+ community not only for Pride, but every day.
