Leah-Marie, aged 11, a student at Highfield School, Ossett, has won Simon Lightwood MP’s first annua Christmas card competition, winning tickets to Wakefield Theatre Royal’s Christmas pantomime, Dick Whittington.
In October, Mr Lightwood launched his first annual Christmas card competition and invited all primary schools within his constituency to take part, with the winning entry to be used as his official Christmas card.
The Christmas card competition has proven to be an overwhelming success, with more than 250 students submitting their artwork for consideration.
As the winning entry, Leah-Marie has won tickets to see Wakefield Theatre Royal’s spectacular Christmas pantomime, Dick Whittington, which is running between 6th December and 31st December. Tickets are available for purchase here.
During a recent visit to Highfield School, Mr Lightwood thanked Leah-Marie in person for submitting her fantastic design and presented her with her prize. Every child who entered the competition will also receive a certificate from Mr Lightwood, to thank them for their participation.
