Visit to family farm in Kirkhamgate

Thank you very much to the Wilsher family, for inviting me to visit their family farm in Kirkhamgate today.

Supporting British farmers and boosting the nation’s food security are key priorities for the government.

I understand concerns about changes to Agricultural Property Relief (APR) and will never shy away from having difficult conversations about these issues.

We need to see a system that supports small, family farmers like the Wilsher family - not one that allows millionaires to exploit the system to avoid paying their fair share of tax.
