A real honour to spend some time with my constituent, Harry Birdsall, 98 years young!
A WW2 veteran, Harry was part of Operation Barleycorn, which liberated Belsen concentration camp in April 1945.
It was a real privilege to thank Harry, on behalf of everyone in Wakefield and Rothwell. Without Harry and his peers, we wouldn't have the freedoms we enjoy today.
